Calla Training Terms and Conditions
Effective date: 01 April 2023
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before you book one of our clinical aesthetic injectable therapies training courses.
This document outlines the agreement created between Calla Aesthetic Training Ltd and our trainees and sets out our obligations to each other. It also explains when payments are due, what happens in the event of course cancellations, the awarding of course certificates and more.
By booking your place on a Calla Training course, you agree to the terms and conditions
below.
Payments
All courses are fully payable in advance.
Course Transfers
Once you have booked your practical course, it may be possible to transfer to the same course on a different date subject to availability. You can do this free of charge as long as you give us at least 30 days’ notice. This is a one-time rescheduling opportunity and you will not be able to reschedule your course again.
If you give us less than 30 days’ notice, an administration charge of £50.00 + VAT will be
applicable for course transfers. Although we will always do our best to find you a place on
another course, Calla Training is under no obligation to offer a transfer.
Course Transfers
Calla Training courses are non-refundable. However, if you are unable to attend a practical
training session due to medical reasons and can provide a valid medical certificate in your
name that covers the course date, you will be able to attend the same course on a different
date without losing the fees you have paid.
If Calla Aesthetic Training Ltd has to cancel or reschedule a course due to unforeseen
circumstances or conditions outside of our control, new dates will be made available as soon
as possible. Calla Training will not be responsible for travel or accommodation expenses or
loss of earnings due to rescheduling.
Course Times
On the day of your practical session, please arrive promptly at the training centre for
registration at 9am. The course will begin at 9:30am. The finish time can differ slightly from
course to course, but we aim to finish at around 6:00pm.
You will have an hour’s break for lunch and food will be provided. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements by emailing [email protected] at least one week before your course date.
Should you choose or need to leave the course before it has ended, you will forfeit your
course fees and it may jeopardise your ability to complete the course successfully.
Cosmetic Models
We are happy to provide cosmetic models for the practical training but please contact us if you would like to bring along a model. Due to the cost of the products we use during the practical session, there will be a small charge of £120 for each model participating in our botulinum toxin or dermal filler training.
Please email [email protected] or contact us via our cosmetic models page if you would like to bring along a model.
Certificates of Competence
Calla Training Certificates of Competence will be awarded on the day to those who
successfully pass the practical course. Occasionally we may have to send your Certificate of
Competence to you in the post after you have completed the training.
Calla Training graduates who want a replacement Certificate of Competence can do so by
emailing [email protected]. Replacements by post are charged at £10 per certificate..
Online Course Material
Once you have paid for the course, you will receive access to the online course material for
12 months. We encourage you to complete the pre-course study content and pass the online
tests before booking your practical training as this will give you the best chance of passing
the course.
However, if you have a preferred date in mind for the practical training, please email
[email protected] and we will try to reserve your space for that date.
What happens if you fail the course?
A decision will be made as to whether you have passed or failed the course at the end of the practical session. It will be based on a review of the work you have done, the treatments you
have performed and your understanding of the online course material.
If you do not pass the course, you can pay a reduced one-off fee of £250 to attend another
practical training session.
During your training
Please note that our courses can be mixed-sex groups and you may be required to perform treatments on male and female cosmetic models. If you have any personal or religious
reasons why you require a same-sex environment only, please contact our team at
[email protected] before booking.
All our courses are taught in English, so trainees must have a good level of written and spoken English. Please contact us before your booking if you feel that your language skills
could affect your learning and course participation.
Please also make us aware of any health conditions that may affect your practical training.
Adjustments will be made to accommodate medical conditions wherever possible and practical. Unfortunately, due to health, comfort and safety reasons, students who are over 32 weeks pregnant cannot partake in the practical training. They can rebook the practical element of their course without incurring any additional fees.
After your training
Following the successful completion of your training, you should start performing treatments as soon as possible while the course is still fresh in your mind.
If you are unable to practice your skills immediately or want additional training at a later date, fees will apply per training day required. However, we do offer refresher sessions at a reduced rate for the first 12 months after the initial training. Calla Training graduates are also
welcome to contact Ros or any of our other trainers with their questions.
